“Fundacion Salvemos El Agua A.C.” is a non profit organization of citizens concerned with environmental problems, especially water contamination and global warming, We are based in Xalapa, Veracruz, México.

Our main objective at this point is to increase awareness and to recruit people to actively participate in activities to improve and correct the environment here in Veracruz.

Our main focus is Global Warming and its effect on our lives. We have a team that regularly gives conferences and workshops about all aspects of contamination to better inform people of its hazards.

We also do cleanups of rivers and public places. In this field we are the leaders of a used battery collection campaign, and have installed over than 200 battery deposits throughout the Estate.

We offer talks to people from pre-schoolers through senior citizens, to educate them on what they can do to improve and preserve our planet.

We have materials in Spanish for elementary school children that you can print directly from our web site. One of them is base on the game “chutes and ladders” and we have several coloring pages that we would like to share with anyone who might find them useful.

In addition to the above, we have planted over 1,000 trees and we adopted several acres of a natural reserve that we maintain.
The key to our continued success is the joint participation of private citizens, media, government and non profit organizations with the same concerns.

This cause is truly global and can only be solved if we confront it together as habitants of the same planet, regardless of where we live on it.
